What Data We Process

VoiceVibe only processes data that you explicitly provide. We never record, capture, or access anything without your direct action.

Voice Recording

Audio is only recorded when you trigger recording (via keyboard shortcut or button).

• Free: Audio processed entirely on-device with Parakeet V3. Never leaves your computer.
• Pro: Audio sent to VoiceVibe backend, then to AI providers for transcription. Cached briefly for performance, never permanently stored.

Screenshots (Pro Only)

Screenshots are only captured when you explicitly select a screenshot input option.

• Partial screenshot: You select the screen region to capture
• Full screenshot: Captures your current screen when you trigger it
• Sent through VoiceVibe backend to AI providers for context-aware processing, then discarded

Text Selection (Pro Only)

Selected text is only captured when you explicitly choose to include it.

• You highlight text and choose to attach it as context
• Sent through VoiceVibe backend to AI providers for processing, then discarded

Clipboard Content (Pro Only)

Clipboard content is only accessed when you explicitly choose to attach it.

• You choose to include clipboard content as context for your request
• Sent through VoiceVibe backend to AI providers for processing, then discarded

File Attachments (Pro Only)

Files are only accessed when you explicitly attach them.

• You select specific files to attach to your request
• Sent through VoiceVibe backend to AI providers for processing, then discarded

Technical Data

• Application settings: Stored locally on your device
• Account data: Email and subscription status stored on VoiceVibe servers for Pro subscribers
• Device registrations: Stored securely for Pro multi-device support
• Error logs: Generated locally for troubleshooting, containing no personal data

What We Don't Store

VoiceVibe never permanently stores your content:

• Voice recordings (discarded after processing)
• Screenshots (discarded after processing)
• Selected text (discarded after processing)
• Clipboard content (discarded after processing)
• File attachments (discarded after processing)
• Transcriptions (generated locally on your device)

What we DO store:

• Free: Anonymous daily usage count only (number of uses per day) - no personal data, no content
• Pro: Email address, subscription status, billing information (via Stripe), device registrations, and usage counts for billing

Security Measures

VoiceVibe implements multiple layers of security to protect your data:

Encryption

• Data in transit: All communications between VoiceVibe and our servers use industry-standard TLS/SSL encryption
• Local data: Application settings encrypted using system-level security
• Authentication tokens: Stored securely in your system's encrypted storage

Access Controls

• System permissions: VoiceVibe requests only necessary permissions for microphone access and screen capture
• Minimal data collection: We collect only what's necessary to operate the service
• No remote access: VoiceVibe has no remote access capabilities or backdoors
• Secure authentication: Pro users authenticate via secure tokens with automatic expiration

Data Retention and Deletion

• Voice data: Not retained after processing; immediately discarded after AI provider response
• Visual data: Screenshots temporarily held in memory during processing, automatically deleted
• Local settings: Stored until you uninstall the application or manually delete
• Authentication tokens: Securely stored locally; removed when you sign out or uninstall

Your Rights and Control

You maintain complete control over your data:

• Feature control: Enable or disable specific processing modes
• Permission management: Grant or revoke system permissions through your OS settings
• Subscription management: Cancel or modify your subscription anytime from your dashboard
• Data deletion: Uninstalling VoiceVibe removes all local data and settings

Usage Data Collection

VoiceVibe collects minimal usage data depending on your subscription tier:

• Free tier: We collect only an anonymous daily usage count (number of uses per 24-hour period). This data is completely anonymous - we cannot identify you or see any of your content. This helps us understand how many free users are actively using VoiceVibe.
• Pro tier: We collect usage data necessary for billing and service delivery. This includes feature usage counts tied to your account.

International Data Transfers

VoiceVibe itself does not transfer data internationally. However, when you use AI providers, your data may be processed in data centers operated by Google Cloud or Groq. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for information about international data handling.

Children's Privacy

VoiceVibe is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used VoiceVibe, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Significant changes will be communicated through the application or our website. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
