Two Tiers, Two Privacy Models
FREE TIER (Voice Typing)
100% private - all processing happens on your device with Parakeet V3. Your voice data NEVER leaves your device. No servers, no cloud, no internet required.
PRO TIER ($14.99/mo - 8 Advanced Modes)
Cloud-based - voice and visual data flows through VoiceVibe's backend to AI providers for processing. We manage all AI routing - no API keys needed from you. Data temporarily processed, never stored.
What Data We Process
VoiceVibe processes the following types of data to provide voice processing functionality:
Voice Data
- Free tier: Audio processed entirely on-device with Parakeet V3. Never leaves your computer.
- Pro tier: Audio temporarily sent to VoiceVibe backend, then to AI providers for transcription. Immediately discarded after processing - never stored.
- Transcriptions: Generated and processed locally on your device (both tiers)
Visual Data
- Free tier: Voice Typing doesn't use screenshots
- Pro tier: Screenshots captured locally for context-aware modes, sent through VoiceVibe backend to AI providers, immediately discarded
- Selected text: Temporarily processed for context in Pro modes only
Technical Data
- Application settings: Stored locally on your device
- Account data: Email and subscription status stored on VoiceVibe servers for Pro users
- Device registrations: Stored securely for Pro multi-device support
- Error logs: Generated locally for troubleshooting, containing no personal data
✨ No API Keys Required!
VoiceVibe never requires you to obtain or manage API keys. Free tier runs 100% on-device. Pro tier includes all-inclusive cloud AI - we handle all API key management for you.
What We Don't Store
VoiceVibe never permanently stores:
- Your voice recordings (immediately discarded after processing)
- Screenshots or visual content (temporarily processed, then deleted)
- Transcription content (generated and stays on your device)
- Text content from your documents or applications
- Free tier usage patterns (Pro users exempt from all usage tracking)
What we DO store for Pro users:
- Email address (for account management)
- Subscription status and billing information (via Stripe)
- Device registrations (for multi-device support)
Pro User Privacy Protection
Enhanced Privacy for Pro Subscribers
Pro subscribers receive additional privacy protections:
- Zero usage tracking - We don't monitor, log, or analyze your usage patterns, frequency, or feature usage
- No analytics collection - Your productivity data, transcription patterns, and workflow habits stay completely private
- Account-only data - We only store your email, subscription status, and registered devices - nothing about what you do with VoiceVibe
- Complete exemption - Pro users are entirely exempt from any usage analytics or behavioral tracking
Note: Free tier users have minimal anonymous usage statistics collected to improve the free offering. Upgrade to Pro for complete privacy.
Data Flow and Third-Party Services
FREE TIER: On-Device Processing
Voice Typing uses Parakeet V3 running entirely on your device. No data ever leaves your computer. No internet, no cloud, no third parties.
PRO TIER: Cloud AI Processing
Pro modes send voice and visual data through VoiceVibe's backend to our AI providers:
- Google Cloud AI (Gemini): Voice transcription, AI processing, text-to-speech
- Groq: High-speed transcription using Whisper models
Data temporarily routed through VoiceVibe servers, then to AI providers. We manage all AI keys - you never need your own API keys.

Security Measures
VoiceVibe implements multiple layers of security to protect your data:
Encryption
- Data in transit: All communications between VoiceVibe and our servers use industry-standard TLS/SSL encryption
- Local data: Application settings encrypted using system-level security
- Authentication tokens: Stored securely in your system's encrypted storage
Access Controls
- System permissions: VoiceVibe requests only necessary permissions for microphone access and screen capture
- Minimal data collection: We collect only what's necessary to operate the service
- No remote access: VoiceVibe has no remote access capabilities or backdoors
- Secure authentication: Pro users authenticate via secure tokens with automatic expiration
Data Retention and Deletion
- Voice data: Not retained after processing; immediately discarded after AI provider response
- Visual data: Screenshots temporarily held in memory during processing, automatically deleted
- Local settings: Stored until you uninstall the application or manually delete
- API keys: Removed from keyring when you uninstall VoiceVibe or clear settings
Your Rights and Control
You maintain complete control over your data:
- API key management: Add, modify, or remove API keys at any time
- Feature control: Enable or disable specific processing modes
- Permission management: Grant or revoke system permissions through your OS settings
- Data deletion: Uninstalling VoiceVibe removes all local data and settings
Data Collection
VoiceVibe does not collect telemetry, analytics, or usage data. We may request voluntary feedback through our support channels, but no data is automatically transmitted to us.
International Data Transfers
VoiceVibe itself does not transfer data internationally. However, when you use AI providers, your data may be processed in data centers operated by Google Cloud or Groq. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for information about international data handling.
Children's Privacy
VoiceVibe is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used VoiceVibe, please contact us immediately.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Significant changes will be communicated through the application or our website. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
